Montreal’s own pop/rock band Pin Up are super excited about their EP launch July 24th Petit Campus. We met up with lead singer Sam Martel among the crawling vines on the terrace at the Saint Elizabeth Pub. We spoke about influences, what it’s like to be in a band with your fiancé and who’s opening the show. Read on… […]

I’d like to introduce you to Toronto alt-pop duo, 30 FRAMES. The track ‘Hey You’ ( My personal favorite) is available on their debut self titled album. Listen below. Both singers come from very different musical backgrounds. Amanda Mabro is already well known around Montreal as a jazz singer, and Sebastian Freeman – a rocker at heart. New Montreal based indie-pop artist IRIS is getting rave reviews for her latest track “Follow Me.” Take a listen below. This song also happens to be the 8th most popular track on Indie Shuffle currently and we can see why! Gotta love the distorted horn section and the “Police-esque” guitar riff. Check out the really fun video they made for “Chasing Dreams.” This song is available on their album “Press Play.” Aiza Ntibarikure is the singer/songwriter of the group (the one dancing around in the pink […]

Montreal’s R&B singer/songwriter Shaharah, is one of the hardest working artists I’ve ever met. Get to know this woman – she’s the real deal, and deserves your attention. The video for ‘Tonight I’m Letting Go’ was filmed in beautiful Old Montreal. This great dance track is available on Shaharah’s new album titled “You & I.” […]

Take a listen to the solo debut EP from MC Paquin. The fiery haired singer/songwriter is a former member of the Montreal country/folk band Jolie Jumper. “Deliver Love (Side A)” is a catchy folk/rock EP. The songs are simple and to the point; very “Beatlesque,” with vocals that come in an adorable French accent. Now who wouldn’t love […]

More music from out of Montreal today! Listen to the song ‘Everything’s on Fire’ by Bright September. The trippy pop rock sound no doubt originated from the band’s founding members Esther Spiegelman and Stephane Lorello
